Sunday 5th May

Went for a long walk down the beach today as the sun was out and the wind had died down. A great long beach and i was the only one on it for some time until a lonely jogger appeared. Back on the boat we re-checked the forecast and there were strong winds coming in from the west, going to hit in the afternoon and last during monday and monday evening.  As soon as this front passes we will head out for New Caledonia, should take between 8-10 days averaging 4-5 knots but might do it a bit quicker depending on the weather. View from the beach looking across the river to the extinct volcanoes.
