Thursday 2nd May

Thursday 2nd May.   Got up today and boat was intact. We stay anchored and had a lazy morning until high tide came again. The local fisherman were catching some good fish so we tried our hand at that but had no fresh bait so weren’t lucky. We moved the boat to our original destination of Marsden Cove, a fairly new marina built 2/3 years ago. Sadly it hadn’t quite taken off and although it was nice was a bit of a ghost town. Nice facilities and quiet so gave us time to decide what to do and finish the jobs that had to be done. Weather chart wasn’t looking great for the immediate future so decided not to move the boat up to Opua until early next week. View from the marina to the extinct volcanoes in the back ground.
